Gen Con week is here, and the Cubicle 7 crew has been frantically preparing for the show. If you're headed for Gen Con too, make sure you come and see us at our booth, number 711 (near the front and leftish as you enter, sort of between Fantasy Flight and Mayfair and behind Konami).
Here are a few things to look our for at the show:
The One Ring: We'll have a small number of copies for sale on Thursday, with the bulk of our shipment arriving on Friday. Be sure to hit the stand early—we expect lines on both days, and we do expect to sell out at the show! We'll also have a limited-edition high-quality art print version of the Wilderland map for sale, and at a special discount when purchased with the TOR core set.
Also for The One Ring, we have signings with lead designer Francesco Nepitello and developer Dominic MacDowall-Thomas (Friday and Saturday at 2:00), a costume contest (noon on Friday) and other activities planned. Drop by the booth, or (better yet) follow our Twitter feed, for details.
Airship Pirates: We will have a very limited supply of Airship Pirates at Gen Con. We expect the shipment to arrive on Friday. To give the game a little breathing space after the throngs that will accompany sales of The One Ring, we'll be putting Airship Pirates on sale at 1:00 PM. Again, arrive early to avoid disappointment!
Squash Breaks: If Gen Con works up a thirst, stop by the Cubicle 7 booth for a squash break. Don't know what "squash" is? Don't worry, we're not talking about the fleshy gourd. Squash is the prototypical English summer beverage--sort of like Kool Aid, only better. So come by for a refreshing British drink and a little conversation.
